PROJECT DONE BY FACULTIES
Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College provides valuable opportunities for its faculty members to engage in project work, greatly benefiting their professional growth and the community. The funding for these projects comes from the Islahi Trust, a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting educational and social initiatives. The college’s faculty has successfully utilized these opportunities, expressing gratitude and dedication to their work.
In December 2022, Ms. Jansi Tharal, an Assistant Professor in Mathematics, completed a project titled “Kuttiattoor Panchayat Community Insight: Socio-Economic Survey.” This project provided a detailed socio-economic analysis of the Kuttiattoor panchayat, offering valuable insights into the community’s living conditions.
Following this, in February 2023, Ms. Riji Vijayan completed a project titled “Waste Watch Kuttiattoor Panchayat: Community Survey on Waste Management.” Her research focused on the waste management practices within the community, identifying key areas for improvement and sustainable practices.
In January 2024, Ms. Anitha P.C., an Assistant Professor in General Education, completed a project on “Digital Literacy in Kuttiattoor Grama Panchayat: A Community Assessment.” This project assessed the digital literacy levels in the community, highlighting the need for educational initiatives to enhance digital skills among residents.
These projects not only contribute to the academic and professional development of the faculty but also establish strong links with the community. The involvement of students in surveys, data collection, and other activities fosters a collaborative learning environment and promotes active community engagement.
