
On August 15, 2024, the students and faculty of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College visited CH Centre Varam, a shelter for the elderly and sick, as part of a community outreach program. The primary objective of the visit was to better understand the lives of the residents and contribute to their well-being.
During the visit, the college donated essential items, including a wheelchair and other necessary equipment. The team also distributed sweets, which brought smiles to the faces of the residents. This interaction allowed the students to engage meaningfully with the residents, offering them not only material assistance but also emotional support.In addition, Ms. Sudha M, a faculty member, provided counseling to the sick residents, offering them much-needed emotional support and guidance.
The visit was a deeply enriching experience for the students, fostering empathy and a sense of social responsibility. This event was made possible through the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kannur Salafi B.Ed College and CH Centre Varam, strengthening their ongoing partnership aimed at community welfare.
