Kannur Salafi B.Ed College organized a Fire and Safety Demonstration class on 29th October 2024, aiming to equip students and staff with essential fire safety knowledge and skills. Mr. Suresh kumar, a Fire and Safety Officer, led the session, which included both a theoretical and practical approach to fire safety.
The program began with a warm welcome from Dr. Sobha S., Principal of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College, who introduced Mr. Suresh kumar and emphasized the importance of fire safety education for everyone. In his informative session, Mr. Suresh kumar covered critical topics such as fire prevention strategies, emergency procedures, and tips on staying safe during a fire incident.
Following the theoretical class, a practical demonstration session was conducted where Mr. Suresh kumar guided students in the proper handling of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment. The trainees actively participated in a mock drill, where they practiced extinguishing fires under the expert’s supervision. This hands-on experience provided them with invaluable skills to handle fire emergencies effectively.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Nijisha, Chairperson of the KSBC Union, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Suresh kumar for his engaging and practical training. The fire and safety demonstration was highly informative and was appreciated by all participants for its practical relevance and effectiveness.
