


The Social Science Club of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College observed Martyrs’ Day on January 30, 2025, to honor the sacrifices made by the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of the nation. The event took place in the college’s conference hall and was attended by students and faculty members.
The program commenced with a brief introduction by the club members, highlighting the significance of January 30th, which marks the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and is observed as Martyrs’ Day in India. The club members presented a documentary on Mahatma Gandhi, reflecting on his life, principles of non-violence, and his contributions to the Indian independence movement. The documentary aimed to educate attendees about Gandhi’s enduring legacy and inspire them to uphold values of peace and justice.
Ms. Sudha M, Incharge of the Social Science Club, delivered the concluding remarks. In her address, she emphasized the importance of remembering the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and urged students to continue the fight for justice and equality in their everyday lives.
