Kannur Salafi B.Ed College held its Annual Athletic Meet on the 7th of February, 2025. The event saw an enthusiastic participation from students and staff members, making it a memorable day for the college community.
The event began with a warm welcome from Mr. Rithwin Raj, the General Captain of the college. He extended a heartfelt greeting to all the participants and dignitaries present, setting the tone for the day’s festivities.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Manoj K V, the Headmaster of Koodali Higher Secondary School. Mr. Manoj K V officially inaugurated the athletic meet with a motivating speech, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and physical fitness. His presence inspired the students and added great significance to the event.
The Principal of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College, Dr. Sobha S, delivered the Principal’s Address, which focused on the importance of holistic development for students, highlighting how extracurricular activities like sports play a key role in personal growth and building a well-rounded personality.
The President of the College, Ms. Nijisha U, also addressed the gathering, further stressing the value of sports and encouraging students to participate in all aspects of college life for their overall development.
The day’s proceedings officially began with the March Past, where three groups of students showcased their discipline and coordination, marching proudly around the ground, setting the atmosphere for the athletic events to follow.
Mr. Manoj K V, the Chief Guest, declared the athletic season open, marking the beginning of the day’s competitive events. The students were ready to demonstrate their athletic abilities, and the sports meet unfolded with various exciting competitions throughout the day.
The event was also graced by the presence of Mr. Abdulla TP, the Administrative Officer of the college, who expressed his congratulations and extended best wishes to the participants in his felicitation speech. Ms. Sudha M, the staff advisor, also shared her thoughts, encouraging students to perform their best and enjoy the process of sportsmanship.
