The Malayalam Department of Kannur Salafi Bed College organized a variety of programs to celebrate Loka Mathrubhasha Dinam on February 21, 2025, at the Conference Hall. The event was a grand success and celebrated the significance of the mother tongue, Malayalam, through various cultural and intellectual activities.
The program began with a beautiful prayer, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. The event was formally inaugurated by Ms. Riji Vijayan, Assistant Professor of Natural Science, who spoke about the importance of promoting and preserving the Malayalam language.
The celebration featured an array of activities including poetic performances by Megha, Soorya, and Ameen, who captivated the audience with their heartfelt renditions. The attendees also participated in exciting competitions such as quizzes, anthakshari (a musical game), and recitations of poems, which highlighted the talent and enthusiasm of the students.
Interestingly, the event was not limited to student participation. Teachers also took part in the competitions, making it a vibrant and inclusive celebration.
The winners of the various competitions were felicitated with prizes in recognition of their exceptional performances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Vivek, who expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.
