
Kannur Salafi B.Ed College organized a two-day workshop on “Understanding Self” for the 2023-25 batch students on the 3rd and 4th of March 2025. The workshop aimed at helping students understand their personal strengths, areas of improvement, and how to approach life in a more reflective and self-aware manner.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Pradeepan Maloth, an experienced Trainer and Psychotherapist, who led various interactive sessions, group activities, and exercises. Mr. Maloth’s expertise in counseling and psychotherapy helped students gain deep insights into their own selves, with a focus on personal growth, emotional intelligence, and self-discovery.
The event commenced with an official welcome speech by Ms. Anitha PC, the Staff Secretary, who extended a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Mr. Maloth, and all the participants. She also highlighted the significance of the workshop and encouraged students to actively participate.
The sessions were highly engaging, with Mr. Maloth sharing his experiences from his career in counseling, which greatly resonated with the students. He conducted numerous activities designed to facilitate group discussions and personal reflection, creating an environment of openness and growth.
Throughout the workshop, students were highly enthusiastic and keen to listen to Mr. Maloth’s valuable insights on counseling and psychological well-being. The interaction between the students and the trainer was dynamic, with many students sharing their experiences and learning from each other.
The feedback session was led by students Ms. Ayfoona, Ms. Anjitha, and Mr. Aghin, who shared their positive experiences of the workshop and expressed how it helped them understand themselves better. They particularly appreciated the personal stories shared by Mr. Maloth and the practical exercises that were carried out.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Drishya Purushothaman, who thanked Mr. Maloth for his enriching session and also expressed gratitude to the college staff and students for their participation and support.
The two-day workshop proved to be an invaluable experience for the students, providing them with tools for self-reflection, emotional intelligence, and self-improvement. The session was impactful, and the students left with a greater sense of understanding about themselves and how they can improve their personal and academic lives.
