
Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized a Pre-Marital Counselling Session on 26th June 2025 at the college Conference Hall. The session was aimed at supporting the personal and emotional development of student-teachers, helping them prepare for future responsibilities in both personal and professional life.
The session was handled by Dr. Sobha S, Principal of the college, who has extensive experience in educational and emotional counselling. In her session, she addressed the emotional, psychological, and social dimensions of marriage, focusing on the importance of communication, mutual respect, emotional intelligence, and value-based decision-making in building a strong and healthy marital relationship.
Dr. Sobha highlighted the relevance of self-awareness, realistic expectations, gender sensitivity, and conflict resolution in the context of marriage. The session also included interactive discussions and real-life examples, making it engaging and relatable for the participants.
The students responded positively to the session, acknowledging its importance in preparing them for their future roles as individuals, partners, and professionals. The program concluded with reflections from participants and a vote of thanks.
