Report on Online Mass Pledge – Drug-Free Kannur Nisha Muthu Abhayan Bharat Project

Social Justice Department – District Social Justice Office Kannur – As part of the Lahari Mukta Kannur Nisha Muthu Abhayan Bharat project – an online mass pledge has been taken in all the colleges under the jurisdiction of Kannur University. Responding to this noble initiative, the Anti-Drug Cell of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized the pledge-taking programme on 28th August 2025 in the college. 47 out of 52 first year BE.d students participated in the online mass pledge. Similarly, 55 out of 55 second year BE.d students participated. That is, 102 out of 107 students in the college participated online mass pledge. Similarly, five teachers from the teaching section participated. A total of 107 people from the college successfully completed the online mass.

All the children who participated in the mass online event received digital certificates from Nisha Mutt Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The participants solemnly vowed to stay away from drugs, to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, and to actively contribute to building a drug-free society. The programme aimed not only at preventing the use of drugs among students but also at strengthening values of responsibility, self-discipline, and social commitment.

By joining this collective effort, Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College reaffirmed its commitment to the mission of “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.” The event was a meaningful step towards reinforcing awareness among students and educators, and it highlighted the significance of collaborative action in eliminating the drug menace from society.The college community expressed its gratitude to the Department of Social Justice for launching such an impactful initiative and pledged continued support to all future campaigns aimed at safeguarding youth from the dangers of substance abuse.
