Kannur Salafi B.Ed College inaugurated various clubs on Monday, 15th September 2025. The programme was formally inaugurated by Mr. Aneesh Narath, Principal of Salafi English Medium School and a well-known short film director.
The college introduced several clubs to promote student engagement and holistic development. The newly inaugurated clubs include the Science Club, Social Science Club, Mathematics Club, Reading and Literary Club, Harithamitra Club, Health and Physical Education Club, and Tourism Club.
The function commenced at 2:00 pm with a prayer. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Rahul C.V., Assistant Professor in Malayalam, followed by the presidential address delivered by Mrs. Anitha P.C., Assistant Professor in General Education.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Aneesh Narath emphasized the importance of clubs in shaping the talents of students and highlighted the role of teachers in guiding club activities. As a renowned short film director, he also explained the various steps in short film making and discussed the possibilities of using short films to represent social issues. His insights were informative and inspiring for the student teachers.
The session was further enriched by the felicitation address delivered by Ms. Ranyyia UP, Chairperson of the College Union. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Muhammad Rafi, General Captain of the College Union.
After the formal meeting, a short film directed by Mr. Aneesh Narath was screened, The silence of Monsoon. The film was highly engaging, thought-provoking, and effectively highlighted pressing social issues. It provided a valuable and memorable experience for the students.
The inauguration concluded successfully, leaving the students motivated and eager to participate actively in the newly formed club.
