
Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized a Medical Camp in association with Navodaya Arts and Sports Club, Vayanashala, and Kannur MIMS Hospital on 24th October 2025 at the college campus. The event was aimed at promoting health awareness and providing free medical check-ups for the nearby community. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from several residents of Kuttiyattoor Grama Panchayath and neighboring areas. The program began at 10:00 a.m. with an inaugural function held in the college auditorium. The session was formally inaugurated by Mr. Nijilesh Paramban, Vice President of Kuttiyattoor Grama Panchayath. In his inaugural address, he appreciated the efforts of the college and the collaborating organizations for their commitment to community welfare.
Ms. Harsha T.K., Vice Chairperson of the College Union, delivered the welcome address. She highlighted the importance of conducting such outreach programs that connect the college with the local community. Following this, Dr. Aghin Jayachandran from MIMS Hospital explained the objectives and procedures of the camp, providing valuable insights into preventive healthcare and early diagnosis. Mr. Shashidharan A.K., Ward Member of Kuttiyattoor Grama Panchayath, and Mr. Abdulla T.P., Administrative Officer of Kannur Salafi B.Ed., offered felicitations. College. Both speakers expressed their appreciation for the initiative and encouraged more such collaborative activities in the future. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Ayisha T.K., former General Secretary of the College Union, who expressed gratitude to all guests, medical professionals, and volunteers for their support and cooperation.
After the inaugural session, a team of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff from MIMS Hospital conducted a detailed medical check-up for all the participants. The health examinations included general check-ups, blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, and consultations on common health issues. Medicines were also distributed free of cost to those in need. Students and staff members of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College actively participated in organizing and assisting with the camp. Their involvement ensured smooth coordination and efficient management throughout the program.
The medical camp was a great success and proved to be highly beneficial to the local community. It also helped strengthen the bond between the college and society, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to social responsibility and community service. The program concluded with a collective sense of satisfaction and appreciation among the participants, organizers, and beneficiaries alike.
