
The Nature Club of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College observed World Soil Day on 5th December with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of soil conservation and sustainable environmental practices. The program aimed to sensitize B.Ed trainees about the crucial role soil plays in maintaining ecological balance and supporting life on earth.
The event began with a brief introduction by the Nature Club coordinator Ms. Anjitha A, highlighting the global theme of World Soil Day and its significance. The importance of protecting soil health, preventing soil erosion, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices was emphasized.
As part of the program, an informative session was conducted, where students were introduced to various aspects of soil—its formation, types, fertility, and threats caused by human activities. Visual aids and examples were used to deepen students’ understanding of soil degradation and the urgent need for conservation efforts. video presentation also held.
The program concluded with a message encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices and promote soil conservation in their communities. The celebration successfully fulfilled its purpose by fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among future teachers.
