
Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a seminar on “Inclusive Pedagogies and Practices” on 2 March 2026 at 10:30 AM in the Conference Hall of the college.
The session was led by Thushara Karun TK, Special Educator, M.Ed. in Special Education from Inspire Kadirur. The programme aimed to create awareness among prospective teachers about inclusive education and effective classroom practices for students with diverse learning needs.
The seminar began with a warm welcome to the resource person and participants by Ms Sudha M , Principal In charge , Kannur Salafi B Ed College. During the session, the resource person explained the concept of inclusive education and highlighted the importance of creating a supportive learning environment for all students, including those with disabilities and learning difficulties. She also discussed different strategies and teaching methods that teachers can adopt to ensure equal participation and learning opportunities in the classroom.
The resource person shared practical examples and classroom techniques that help in addressing the diverse needs of learners. The interactive session encouraged students to reflect on their role as future educators in building an inclusive and equitable education system.
The seminar was highly informative and engaging. The participants gained valuable insights into inclusive pedagogical approaches and the importance of empathy, flexibility, and collaboration in teaching.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person for sharing her expertise and to the organizers for arranging such an enriching session. The seminar was successful in enhancing the awareness and understanding of inclusive education among the student teachers.
