The Gandhi Jayanthi celebration at Kannur Salafi B Ed college commenced with a welcome speech by Ms. Thansiha Basheer , extending gratitude to all participants for joining the event. Ms. Basheer underscored the importance of commemorating Gandhi Jayanthi and encouraged everyone to actively engage in the upcoming activities.
Following the welcome speech, an inaugural address by Dr. Vijayan Chalode, who eloquently highlighted the significance of Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of non-violence, truth, and social justice. Dr. Chalode emphasized how Gandhi’s teachings remain relevant in today’s world, urging everyone to embody these ideals in their lives.
Mrs. Sudha M and Mrs. Anitha P C took the stage to felicitate distinguished guests and participants of the event. Their heartfelt words of appreciation recognized the dedication and commitment of individuals towards promoting Gandhian values in society.
Mrs. Athira K and Mrs. Soorya V M delivered insightful speeches shedding light on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy, and enduring legacy. They discussed Gandhi’s role in India’s freedom struggle and his enduring impact on global movements for peace and justice.
Quiz Competition:
An engaging quiz competition was conducted, challenging participants’ knowledge about Mahatma Gandhi and his principles. The quiz served as an interactive platform for participants to learn more about Gandhi’s life and teachings while fostering a spirit of friendly competition.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Remya A, expressing gratitude to all speakers, participants, organizers, and sponsors who contributed to the success of the Gandhi Jayanthi celebration.
