Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, in association with the IQAC and Anti-Drug Cell, organized an awareness programme on drug abuse prevention on 18th August 2025 at 11:30 AM in the college Conference Hall.
The session was graced by Sri. Sameer Dharmadam, Excise Preventive Officer, who delivered the awareness speech. He highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals and society, explained the legal consequences, and motivated students to stay away from such destructive habits. His interactive talk created awareness among the teacher trainees about their social responsibility in spreading the message of a drug-free society.
The programme was anchored by Vaishna Pfrom English option. Rafi K (Malayalam option) delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the event, while Nafi A from English option proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person and all participants. Faculty members, student-teachers, and staff members actively participated in the programme.
The event was informative and inspiring, fulfilling the objective of sensitizing future teachers about the significance of anti-drug awareness campaigns.
