Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College celebrated Teachers’ Day on 9th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and respect, organizing a variety of meaningful and entertaining programs. The celebration commenced at 10 a.m. with a prayer, setting a graceful tone for the day.As part of the program, the college honored Prof. Hameed T.P., the former principal of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College , who has rendered long and remarkable service at Sir Syed College. The event was jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the College Union, ensuring active participation from both staff and students.
The formal function began with the welcome address by Miss Harsha T.K., Vice Chairperson of the College Union, followed by the presidential address delivered by Miss Ranyyia U.P., Chairperson of the College Union. The function was then officially inaugurated by Prof. Hameed Sir, who shared his heartfelt memories of the college, appreciated the progressive changes brought about in recent years, and reflected on his long and inspiring teaching career. His words deeply motivated the audience and created an emotional connection with the gathering.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ashraf T.P., retired principal of Key Sahib Training College, who spoke about the significance of Teachers’ Day and the noble role of teachers in shaping society. He also honored the chief guest, Prof. Hameed Sir, in recognition of his valuable contributions to the field of education.This was followed by felicitations from Dr. Anjali Rajeevan, Assistant Professor of Natural Science, and Mr. Nafih A., University Union Councilor of the college, who highlighted the dedication and commitment of teachers. The formal session concluded with the vote of thanks by Miss Vismaya, Fine Arts Secretary of the College Union, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers.
After the official proceedings, students organized fun-filled games and entertainment programs for the teachers, which added joy and liveliness to the occasion. The activities created a cheerful atmosphere and strengthened the bond between teachers and students. The day was both memorable and meaningful, successfully honoring the teaching community while also fostering a spirit of togetherness within the college.
