With the cooperation of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College and IQAC, a program in observance of World Statistics Day was successfully organized by the Mathematics Club on 21st October 2025 at the College Seminar Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Athira, who anchored the entire session. The first session of the program was an interactive class led by Amrutha, who presented a detailed and engaging talk on “The Basics of Statistics.” The session provided students with a clear understanding of the fundamental concepts of statistics.
Following this, a special and informative video presentation prepared by the Mathematics Club members was screened. In the video, members shared insights about the importance of statistics, its history, and its global contributions.
The final segment of the program was a quiz competition conducted by Vyshna and Souparnika. A total of seven teams, each comprising two students, participated in the competition. Prizes were awarded to the first and second place winners, and the awards were presented by Sudha Mam and Anitha Mam.
The successful organization of the program was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the executive members of the Mathematics Club — Sanveera (President), V(Secretary), Athira, Arya, and Souparnika — under the guidance of the Club Coordinator, Vinitha Ma’am.
Through the collective efforts of the Mathematics Club, IQAC, and the faculty, the World Statistics Day 2025 celebration proved to be a great success in creating awareness among students about the relevance and global importance of statistics in everyday life.
