The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized an Orientation Session on 23 July 2026 at 11.00 a.m. in the College Conference Hall for the newly admitted B.Ed. 2026–2028 batch. The session, titled “From Classroom to Career: Thriving in Your New Role,” was designed to help student teachers understand the transition from being learners to becoming future teaching professionals.
The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by the IQAC Coordinator. Dr. Seena R. O., Principal, Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, presided over the programme and emphasized the importance of nurturing professional competence, confidence, and commitment among aspiring teachers. She encouraged the students to make the best use of every learning opportunity available during the B.Ed. programme.
The resource person, Ms. Aathira P. T., Alumni Member, shared her inspiring journey from being a student at Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College to establishing herself as a professional teacher. In her interactive session on “From Classroom to Career: Thriving in Your New Role,” she explained how dedication, continuous learning, effective communication, and adaptability are essential for building a successful teaching career.
Drawing from her own experiences, Ms. Aathira discussed the challenges and opportunities encountered during the transition from college to the workplace. She highlighted the importance of professional ethics, classroom preparedness, teamwork, leadership, and emotional resilience. She also motivated the student teachers to cultivate self-confidence, remain open to new learning experiences, and embrace innovation in teaching.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and raising questions about career opportunities, school internships, professional development, and strategies for becoming effective educators. The practical suggestions and motivational insights shared by the resource person inspired the participants to approach their future profession with confidence and enthusiasm.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person for her valuable guidance, the Principal for her encouragement and leadership, IQAC for organizing the programme, and all faculty members and students for their wholehearted participation.
