Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, Koodali, Kannur, organised a programme on “Introduction to MOOC and E-Content Development” on 12 October 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the Conference Hall. The programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with the objective of familiarising participants with Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and the development of digital educational content.
The resource person for the programme was Dr. Naseerali M. K., Professor and Head, Department of Education (ITEP), Majlis Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Valancheri, Malappuram, and former Principal of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College.
The session focused on the importance of digital learning in the present educational scenario. The resource person explained the concept and significance of MOOCs, their role in promoting accessible and flexible learning, and the opportunities they provide for continuous professional development. He also discussed the various stages involved in developing effective e-content, including planning, designing, preparing digital learning materials, incorporating multimedia resources, and presenting content in an engaging and learner-friendly manner.
The programme highlighted the importance of integrating technology into the teaching-learning process to make education more interactive, inclusive, and effective. It also encouraged prospective teachers to develop their digital competencies and make effective use of online learning platforms and educational resources.
