As part of their pre-internship program, the teacher trainees of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College visited Thanal Rehabilitation Centre. This visit aimed to provide the trainees with firsthand experience in working with disabled children, aligning with the inclusive education practices followed in schools today.

Gain practical experience in inclusive education settings, Develop empathy and effective teaching strategies for children with special needs.The visit began with an orientation session conducted by the staff of Thanal Rehabilitation Centre. They provided an overview of the centre’s mission, services, and the specific needs of the children they support.
The trainees spent time interacting with the children, engaging them in various activities such as storytelling, games, and art and craft. This interaction helped the trainees understand the children’s abilities and challenges.
The trainees observed the teaching methods and therapeutic practices used by the centre’s staff. They learned about different approaches to inclusive education and how to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of disabled children.
