Tribute to the Father of Science: Galileo Galilei

As a part of the Daily Morning session, the Department of English from Kannur Salafi B.Ed College led an informative session on the Father of Science Galileo Galilei.

The session was initiated with the prayer by Nivya and Mafshida, followed by the Pledge led by Anagha.T. With this, Duna took over the session to enlighten the audience about the life and contributions of the enigma Galileo.

Galileo Galilei is popularly known as the Father of Science.He was born on February 15,1564. He was a teacher, philosopher, astronomer, and physicist known to be an important part of the scientific revolution.

The session gave value information on the brief history of his contributions ranging from being the first to report telescopic observations of the mountains on the moon, the moons of Jupiter, the phases of Venus and the rings of Saturn to the revolutionary assistance to Copernican heliocentrism.

The session was made even more reflective with the extended information shared by Mrs.Anitha P.C.(Assistant Professor, Physics). Her knowledge and insight about Galileo was an inspiration to read and understand more about the Father of Physics Galileo Galilei.
