On February 29,2024 Kannur Salafi B Ed College witnessed the morning session led by the Department of English. The session began with the prayer by Shilpa and Duna. It was followed by the pledge led by Mafshida. The updates of the day was rendered through News Reading by Sruthi.
Nikhed took rest of the session in hand with the topic Godly University.
“Godly University” refers to a branch of the Brahma Kumaris, a spiritual organization based in India. They focus on meditation, personal development, and a particular interpretation of Hinduism.
Nikhed shared his experience visiting a session of Sister B.K.Sivani in Kannur. He made it clear that the spiritual aspect put forth by the Brahmakumaris is not the renunciation of worldly pleasures but seeking mental and spiritual independence even amidst the vast provocation of worldly things.
The Brahma Kumaris teach that the soul is an infinitesimal point of spiritual light residing in the forehead of the body it occupies, and that all souls originally existed with God in a “Soul World”, a world of infinite light, peace and silence.
The Godly University offer courses, seminars, and workshops that are offered to the public free of charge, as a community service.
