Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, in association with IQAC, organized a Drama and Art Workshop on Visual Arts – Collage Making and Doodle Art on February 18, 2025, led by Mr. Shobhraj P.P. The session aimed to enhance the creative and artistic skills of teacher trainees, providing them with hands-on experience in collage designing, doodle art, and other visual expression techniques. The event began with a welcome speech by Assistant Professor Rahul C.V., who emphasized the importance of incorporating visual arts into teaching to make learning more engaging and interactive. Mr. Shobhraj P.P. introduced various aspects of collage making, explaining how different materials and textures can be used to create meaningful artistic compositions. He also demonstrated doodle art, showing how simple patterns and sketches can be transformed into expressive artworks. The participants actively engaged in the practical session, experimenting with different styles and techniques under the guidance of the resource person. Rushda from Natural Science and Soorya N from Mathematics shared their feedback, highlighting how the workshop helped them explore their creativity and gain new insights into art integration in education. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Soorya N, who expressed gratitude to the resource person for his valuable guidance and to the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. The workshop was a great success, fostering a deeper appreciation for visual arts and its significance in education.

The third day of the Drama and Art Workshop at Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, held on February 22, 2025, focused on Creative Drama and was led by N. Raghunathan, Director of Padav Creative Theatre, and Sreejith Velluvayal, Teacher. The session was more practical than theoretical, immersing participants in various drama activities such as improvisation, role-playing, and expressive storytelling. Mrs. Riji Vijayan warmly welcomed the resource persons and participants, setting the tone for an engaging session. Through interactive exercises, attendees explored the power of movement, voice modulation, and emotions in performance. The facilitators emphasized the importance of spontaneity and creativity, making the workshop lively and enriching.
The session highlighted how drama could be a valuable educational tool, helping teachers foster engagement and creativity in the classroom. Participants actively took part in activities that encouraged teamwork, confidence-building, and communication skills. The hands-on approach allowed them to experience firsthand how drama techniques can enhance the teaching-learning process.
