Kannur Salafi B.Ed College observed Children’s Day on November 14, 2024, by organizing visits to five nearby schools. The initiative was designed to offer teacher trainees an opportunity to experience and participate in Children’s Day celebrations directly in school environments. Five groups, each consisting of 20 teacher trainees, visited the following institutions:
- Salafi English Medium School, Village Mukk
- Kanjirode ALP School
- Kanjirode UP School
- GHSS Munderi
- Bhagavathivilasam UP School, Puravoor
During the visits, the teacher trainees observed the vibrant celebrations and interacted with students and staff. The schools had organized various activities such as cultural performances, games, speeches, and other engaging events to honor and celebrate children.
The teacher trainees actively participated in these programs, assisting teachers in organizing events, performing in cultural activities, and engaging with students. Their involvement not only added value to the celebrations but also enhanced their understanding of the planning and execution of school-level events.
This experience provided the teacher trainees with practical exposure to real-world classroom dynamics and a deeper appreciation of the significance of Children’s Day in fostering a positive school culture. It also enabled them to strengthen their interpersonal skills and build rapport with students.
The initiative was widely appreciated, and the trainees returned with valuable insights and joyful memories. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience for all involved, emphasizing the role of education in celebrating and nurturing childhood.
