Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), celebrated Moon Day on 21 July 2026 at 11:15 a.m. in the College Conference Hall. The programme was organized to commemorate the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing and to promote scientific curiosity, innovation, and awareness of space exploration among student teachers.
The programme began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Moon Day and the remarkable achievements of space science. The celebration aimed to encourage students to develop a scientific temperament and appreciate the contributions of space research to human progress.
A Documentary Presentation was conducted showcasing the history of lunar exploration, the Apollo 11 mission, and the advancements in modern space technology. The documentary provided participants with valuable insights into the challenges and achievements of space missions, inspiring them to explore the wonders of science and technology.
A Quiz Competition was organized to assess the participants’ knowledge of astronomy, space missions, and the history of Moon exploration. Students enthusiastically participated in the quiz, demonstrating their scientific awareness and competitive spirit. The activity also served as an engaging platform for collaborative learning and knowledge sharing.
The celebration also featured a Talent Snap, where students creatively expressed their understanding of Moon Day through drawings, posters, photographs, slogans, and other innovative presentations. The activity encouraged creativity while reinforcing the importance of science education and environmental awareness.
Faculty members appreciated the active participation and enthusiasm displayed by the students throughout the programme. The event successfully combined knowledge, creativity, and interactive learning, making the celebration both educational and enjoyable.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Principal, IQAC, faculty members, and all the students for their wholehearted support and participation in making the event a success.
