
The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. 2026–2028 Batch of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College was held on Friday, 17 July 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Conference Hall of the college. The programme marked the formal commencement of the academic journey for the new batch of student teachers. The event was attended by the management, faculty members, PTA representatives, and newly admitted students.
The programme began with a prayer, creating a respectful and positive atmosphere. Mrs. Anitha P. C., Staff Secretary and Assistant Professor in General Education, welcomed the gathering and extended a warm greeting to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, students, and parents. She highlighted the importance of teacher education and encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities available at the institution.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Seena R. O., Principal of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College. The Principal welcomed the new batch and emphasized the values of discipline, professionalism, and commitment required in the teaching profession. The students were motivated to uphold academic excellence and ethical values throughout their course.
The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. T. P. Ashraf, Former Syndicate Member and Retired Principal of Keyi Sahib B.Ed. Training College. In his inspiring speech, he discussed the evolving role of teachers in society and stressed the need for continuous learning, innovation, and dedication in education. He encouraged the students to become responsible educators who contribute positively to society.
The programme included felicitations by Dr. A A Basheer, Mr. Abdulla T. P. (Administrative Officer), and Mr. Unnikrishnan T. (PTA President). They congratulated the new students on joining the institution and assured them of the college’s full support in their academic and personal development.
A Self-Introduction Session followed, during which the teachers introduced themselves to the newly admitted students. This session helped familiarize the students with the faculty members and created a welcoming learning environment.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Sudha M., Assistant Professor in Social Science Education. She expressed sincere gratitude to the chief guest, management, principal, faculty members, students, parents, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event.
