In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 153rd birth anniversary, Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized a premises cleaning event on October 2, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. This initiative was not only a tribute to the Father of the Nation but also a reflection of his enduring commitment to cleanliness and community service. The event aimed to instill the values and principles of Mahatma Gandhi among the college community while enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the college premises.


The cleaning event witnessed active participation from various segments of the college community. It was heartening to see students, teachers, and staff members coming together with enthusiasm and dedication to contribute to this meaningful initiative. The presence of esteemed individuals, including Principal Dr. Naseerali M.K., and teachers Mr. Viswanathan T.V., Mrs. Sudha M., Mrs. Jhansi T., Mrs. Anitha P.C., and Mrs. Vijisha C.P., added a sense of purpose and encouragement to the event.


The cleaning efforts were meticulously planned to cover various areas within the college premises. These included:

  1. College Premises: Participants cleaned classrooms, corridors, and common areas to ensure a clean and welcoming learning environment for all.
  2. Garden: The college garden, a source of natural beauty and tranquility, was given special attention. Volunteers weeded, pruned, and tidied up the garden to create a more vibrant and attractive space.

  4. Unused Classrooms: Unused classrooms were cleaned and prepared for potential future use, demonstrating the college’s commitment to utilizing its resources efficiently.
