

The Nature Club of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized a meaningful and eco-conscious program in connection with World Environment Day on June 5th.The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and the importance of protecting nature among students and staff.
The event began with a prayer by Ms. Athira Krishnan, setting a respectful and positive tone for the gathering. The welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Helana VC, Secretary of the Nature Club, who warmly greeted the guest and participants.The presidential address was given by Dr. Seena R.O, Principal of the college, who emphasized the need for environmental responsibility in daily life and the role of educational institutions in fostering eco-friendly values.
The keynote address was delivered by the guest of the programme, K. Mohanan (Retd. Principal, Former Higher Secondary District Co-ordinator). He highlighted the urgent need for environmental conservation and encouraged students to take active part in sustainability initiatives.
As part of the celebration, students brought various plants to the college, symbolizing their commitment to nature. A special tree planting activity was conducted, in which the chief guest also planted a tree, reinforcing the message of green living.Felicitation addresses were delivered by Mr. Abdulla TP ( Adminisrative officer), Ms. Anitha VC (Staff secretory and asst prof in general education), and Ms. Adithya (member of nature club) , who appreciated the efforts of the Nature Club and encouraged continued environmental initiatives.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Devika, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their active participation and support.
