The Nature Club of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College organized a World Ocean Day Celebration on 8 June 2026 to create awareness among students about the importance of oceans and marine conservation. The programme was conducted under the theme “Reimagine: Beyond the world we know, a new relationship with our ocean.” As part of the celebration, a video presentation was organized to help students understand the significance of oceans, marine biodiversity, and the environmental challenges affecting ocean ecosystems. The presentation highlighted the need for sustainable practices and collective responsibility in protecting marine resources.
A quiz competition was also conducted to enhance students’ knowledge about oceans, marine life, and environmental conservation. The quiz generated great enthusiasm and active participation among students, making the programme both informative and engaging. The event successfully promoted awareness about ocean conservation and encouraged students to develop a positive attitude towards protecting marine ecosystems for future generations. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among participants to contribute to environmental sustainability and the preservation of our oceans.
