An AI Workshop titled “Teach Smarter with AI” was organized by Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College in association with the IQAC on 18 June 2026 at 10:00 AM. The workshop was conducted with the objective of familiarizing future educators with the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning processes.
The resource person for the programme was Abdul Latheef OM, an AI Trainer and Director of Top Plus Academy who was welcomed by the Principal . He shared valuable insights into the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in education and demonstrated how AI-powered tools can support teachers in planning lessons, creating learning materials, assessing students, and enhancing classroom engagement.
During the session, participants were introduced to various AI applications that can assist teachers in preparing presentations, generating educational content, designing assessments, and personalizing learning experiences. The resource person highlighted the importance of using AI responsibly and ethically while ensuring that technology complements, rather than replaces, the role of teachers.
The workshop included practical demonstrations and interactive activities that enabled participants to explore different AI tools and understand their applications in educational settings. Student teachers actively engaged in discussions and hands-on exercises, gaining confidence in integrating AI into their future teaching practices.
The programme proved highly informative and relevant in the contemporary educational context. It equipped participants with essential digital competencies and encouraged them to embrace innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, followed by feed back session and a vote of thanks. Ms. Raniyya and Mr. Haseef gave feedback of the workshop. Participants expressed their appreciation for the practical exposure and valuable knowledge gained through the programme. The event successfully achieved its objective of empowering future educators to utilize Artificial Intelligence effectively in the teaching-learning process.
