
A Learning Aid Workshop was organized by Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College in association with the IQAC on 17 June 2026. The workshop aimed to enhance the professional skills of student teachers by providing practical knowledge and hands-on experience in preparing effective teaching-learning materials.
Dr. Seena Principal Kannur Salafi B Ed College welcomed the Resource Person Pramod Aduthila, a retired Headmaster, National Trainer, and State Teacher Award winner. The resource person emphasized the importance of learning aids in making classroom instruction more engaging, interactive, and learner-centered. He explained how well-designed teaching aids help improve students’ understanding, retention, and participation.
During the session, participants were introduced to various types of learning aids, including charts, flashcards, models, activity-based materials, and low-cost teaching aids prepared from locally available resources. The resource person demonstrated techniques for designing attractive and educational materials that cater to different learning styles and classroom needs.
Student teachers actively participated in practical activities and group discussions. They were encouraged to design innovative learning aids that could be effectively used in school classrooms. The workshop provided opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among participants.
The programme successfully achieved its objectives by strengthening the pedagogical skills of future teachers and promoting the effective use of teaching-learning materials. The participants gained valuable insights into the preparation and utilization of learning aids, which will contribute to improving the quality of classroom teaching and learning.
The workshop concluded with an interactive feedback session and a vote of thanks by students and faculty members. Participants expressed their appreciation for the informative and practical nature of the programme and acknowledged the valuable guidance provided by the resource person.
