Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an interactive session titled “The Art of Making an Impact: Success, Body Language and Communication” on 14 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Conference Hall.
The session was conducted with the objective of helping the student-teachers develop effective communication skills, positive body language, confidence, and interpersonal skills essential for personal and professional success.
The resource person for the session was Dr. T. P. Ashraf, Former Syndicate Member and Retired Principal of Keyi Sahib B.Ed. Training College. Through an engaging and interactive approach, Dr. Ashraf highlighted the importance of effective communication and the role of body language in creating a positive impression. He discussed various aspects of successful communication, including confidence, listening skills, appropriate gestures, facial expressions, posture, and the effective use of verbal and non-verbal communication.
The interactive nature of the session provided the students with opportunities to participate actively, share their views, and reflect on their own communication styles. The session also emphasized how strong communication skills and positive body language can contribute to effective teaching, leadership, and professional relationships.
The programme was highly informative and inspiring for the student-teachers. It helped them recognize the importance of presenting themselves confidently and communicating effectively in both academic and professional settings.
