Kannur Salafi B.Ed College celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme was organized at the College Ground and Conference Hall, beginning at 8:45 a.m.
The celebration commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, marking the significance of the day and reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The programme was attended by students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and invited guests.
The college had the privilege of welcoming H/Capt. Raveendran P. (Retd.), a Kargil War veteran with years of distinguished service, as the Special Guest. His presence added special significance to the celebration. His experiences and service to the nation inspired the students and created a strong sense of patriotism and respect for the armed forces.
A variety of cultural programmes were presented by the students, showcasing their talents and expressing their love for the nation. The performances created a vibrant and patriotic atmosphere on the campus. The programme also included a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing and encouraging the achievements and talents of the students.
The celebration provided the students with an opportunity to understand the value of freedom, national unity, responsibility, and service to the country. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the event memorable and meaningful.
