Kannur Salafi B.Ed College, in association with IQAC, organized an “Introduction to ICT” programme on 11 September 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Conference Hall. The programme was organized with the objective of familiarizing B.Ed. students with the importance and applications of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education.
Mr. Jayakrishnan C, from TVNGVHSS Taliparamba, served as the resource person for the session. He introduced the participants to the basic concepts of ICT and discussed its growing importance in the modern educational environment.
The session focused on how digital technologies can support teachers in planning lessons, preparing learning materials, presenting content effectively, communicating with learners, and creating engaging classroom experiences. The resource person also highlighted the relevance of ICT skills for prospective teachers and encouraged students to make effective use of digital resources in their teaching practice.
The programme was interactive and informative. Students actively participated in the session and gained a better understanding of the role of technology in teaching and learning. The programme also helped them recognize the need to develop digital competence as part of their professional development as future teachers.
The Introduction to ICT programme was a valuable academic initiative that enhanced the students’ awareness of educational technology and encouraged them to integrate ICT meaningfully into their future classrooms.
