On 4th August 2023, the teacher trainees and faculty members of Kannur Salafi B Ed College visited the Thanal Rehabilitation Centre as part of their community outreach program. This visit was a valuable learning experience for the trainees and contributed significantly to their personal and professional development.
The visit to the rehabilitation center aimed to provide the teacher trainees with a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and the importance of rehabilitation in their lives. The trainees were given a tour of the center, where they interacted with the inmates and observed various rehabilitation programs that were being conducted.
The trainees were able to learn about the comprehensive services offered by the center, which include physical therapy, vocational training, and emotional support. They witnessed the dedication of the staff and the positive impact of these services on the residents, which gave them a deeper understanding of the importance of empathy, patience, and compassion in the teaching profession.
