The Oath Taking Ceremony for the newly elected Student Union Members of Kannur Salafi B.Ed. College, Villagemukku, was held on October 3, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. The election, which took place on September 29, 2023, marked an important moment in the college’s democratic process.
The session was gracefully hosted by Mrs. Faheema, a B.Ed. student, who ensured the smooth flow of the event. The ceremony commenced with a prayer, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the proceedings.
In attendance were esteemed teachers, Mrs. Sudha M., Mrs. Vijisha, and Mrs. Anitha PC, who provided guidance and support to the students throughout the ceremony.
Principal Dr. Naseerali M.K. extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected members and commended the students and staff for making the election a memorable event. Dr. Naseerali also shared his personal experience of serving as the Students Union Chairman during his own graduation and highlighted the unique activities he had organized during his tenure. He expressed the management’s and staff’s commitment to supporting and collaborating with the newly elected Student Union in organizing a range of wonderful programs throughout the academic year.
The highlight of the ceremony was when Principal Dr. Naseerali M.K. administered the oath to the elected Student Union Chairperson, K.P. Drisya. Following this, the other union members, including the Vice-Chairperson, Aswathi N; General Secretary, Harikrishnan P.M; Joint Secretary, Gopika V; Fine Arts Secretary, Aswathi S. Thirumump; General Captain, Aghin Lakshman; Student Editor, Nehala Sherin; and U.U.C., Shahabaz Basheer, took the oath, led by the Chairperson.
Mr. Abdulla T.P., the Administrative Officer of the college, congratulated and extended his best wishes to the newly elected union members. He emphasized the significance of their roles and responsibilities in representing the student body.
The Returning Officer, Mr. Viswanathan T.V., an assistant professor in the Department of Malayalam, also felicitated the union. He encouraged the union members to inclusively engage all students in their activities.
Dr. Madhusoodanan, Assistant Professor in Physical Education, conveyed his best wishes and hopes for successful and organized activities under the new Student Union.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Gopika V., the Joint Secretary of the Union.
The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with all attendees standing for the National Anthem, a symbol of unity and commitment to the nation.
