Kannur Salafi B.Ed College organized an exciting and educational tour to Kodaikanal and Ramakalmed from 2nd January 2025 to 5th January 2025. The tour was coordinated by Ms. Sudha M, Faculty member of Kannur Salafi B.Ed College, and escorted by Mr. Rahul CV, along with 28 enthusiastic students from the college. The tour was an enriching experience for all the participants, combining natural beauty, adventure, and knowledge.
Day 1: Exploration of Kodaikanal
The journey began with the arrival at Kodaikanal on the first day, where the students were excited to explore the picturesque hill station. The day was spent exploring several famous tourist spots.
- Guna Cave: The group visited the famous Guna Cave, a natural rock formation surrounded by dense forests. The adventurous trek to the cave allowed the students to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.
- Suicide Point: Next, the group visited Suicide Point, a spot that offers a breathtaking view of the valley below. The students were mesmerized by the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
- Pillar Rocks: The iconic Pillar Rocks, a group of three vertical granite rocks, were another highlight of the day. The students enjoyed the stunning views and the fresh, cool breeze at this scenic spot.
- Pine Forest and Lake: The day concluded with a visit to the serene Pine Forest and the picturesque Kodaikanal Lake, where students had the opportunity to relax, take photographs, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
Day 2: Journey to Ramakalmed
On the second day, the group left Kodaikanal and proceeded to explore other parts of Tamil Nadu.
- Kambam Theni: The first stop was Kambam Theni, Grape Farm, where students learned about the process of grape cultivation and enjoyed tasting fresh, juicy grapes directly from the farm.
- Ramakalmed: The group then proceeded to Ramakalmed, where students had the chance to experience off-road trekking, which was one of the most exciting parts of the trip. The thrilling off-road adventure was an unforgettable experience for everyone, as students trekked through rugged paths surrounded by stunning landscapes. Then explored Ramakkal, statue point, aamappara etc.
The tour was not only a chance for students to relax and explore new places but also an opportunity to learn about nature, agriculture, and adventure activities. The trip helped the students build camaraderie and shared memorable experiences that they will cherish for a long time. The guidance of Ms. Sudha M and the support of Mr. Rahul CV as the escorting staff ensured a smooth and enjoyable trip.
